Job Title: Systems Administrator

Summary

Responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of Development, QA, and Production Linux Systems. Occasional support for the Office LAN.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist Senior Systems Architect with overall design
• Multi Tier Network Design and Support (security, IPS, IDS, etc)
• Network support including data backup and restores, server monitoring and troubleshooting
• Monitor, manage and maintain the Network/Switches/Routers
• Configure and Troubleshoot hardware
• Software/Operating System installation/upgrades
• Monitor and respond to trouble tickets
• Log Rotation Management
• SSL Certificate management
• mod_security maintenance
• Monitoring and administer File/Host integrity monitoring system
• Keep infrastructure documentation up to date
• Work with firewall configuration
• Manage storage and archival of all data and logs. Will need to be kept secure and tamper resistant
• Occasional script writing may be necessary (bash, perl, etc...)
• Research, recommend, and install firmware and OS patches
• Participate in On-Call support
• Help update and create “Run Book” for daily operations
Required Knowledge and Experience Required
• Solid understanding of network and data security
• 5+ years of System and Network Administration experience
• 5+ years working on production Linux servers
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of iptables/firewalls
• Working knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructures
• Great verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent documentation skills
Education
College degree preferred
